+Description
Maya Strap has a distinguished distressed look featuring a heavily stone-ground-like finish. This gorgeous strap comes in lighter colors. It is fully vegetable-tanned in Italy. Each cowhide is made by hand and significantly brushed up to bright color, resulting in a unique buffed finish and color variation to enhance texture. In our collection, Maya Strap is considered shriveled, weary, and even more rustic than the Badalassi Carlo Pueblo Strap. In terms of aging, Maya Strap will not provide patina as much as Pueblo Strap does. Certain areas on the strap tend to age more than the rest, creating a unique pattern to your own style. It goes well with vintage watches as well as modern timepieces to continue to build up characters.
Leather Introduction
Maya leather comes from Conceria Il Ponte, Italy since 1961. The Conceria Il Ponte has been on the market for 50 years and one of the factors of the success of the company is the team of very professional and passionate people. Maya is a fully vegetable-tanned leather, completely dyed through with aniline finishes and then buffed in a genuinely artistic style that creates beautiful color texture and variations. Compared to others, this leather is not so greasy/waxy, more solid, and does not patina so significantly. In short, it's similar and a great alternative to Pueblo leather.
